EXPECTED 18TH SEPTEMBER 2026

Carly Rae Jepsen returns with a new double album “Day and Night” on September 18th. Across 24 songs, the record dreams up a world lavish enough to hold the full expanse of her identity. The lead single “On Wires” surges with urgency, capturing the dizzying pull of desire. “It’s about wanting someone so badly you can barely get through the motions of a night out,” she says. “It’s a real ‘come hither’ song, but the chorus is just me repeating ‘I want you,’ because that’s all I can think about.”
Day and Night captures a blurred, dreamlike sense of time where nights
stretch into mornings and days dissolve into nights, creating a feeling of
being suspended inside a moment. Working with her dream team of
collaborators and friends, including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate
Cyphert and Cole M.G.N., Jepsen created two distinct sonic palettes for
the album. Day is organic and raw, with live instrumentation and hints of
70s-inspired psychedelic pop. Night is exploratory and intense, shifting into
a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop. Together, they dive into a full
range of emotion – joy, fear, love, anxiety, escapist fantasy and everything
in between.’
Carly Rae Jepsen is a pop titan who is carving out her own unique path
with confidence and intention. Over the past 15 years, Carly Rae Jepsen
has cemented herself as a true pop titan. Carly is an artist with a devoted
global fanbase, critical acclaim, and a catalog that speaks for itself. With
nothing left to prove, she approaches this album with a sense of freedom
and self-assurance, leaning fully into who she is as an artist. Day and Night
is ultimately about finding the poetry: a conscious decision to lean into love
and possibility, while inviting fans to witness her evolution and the strength
she’s found along the way.
