Led by Susan Tedeschi’s soulful vocals and Derek Trucks’ flabbergastingly original, pick-free guitar work, the Tedeschi Trucks Band has parked its tour bus at that mythical crossroads between blues and rock, and over the course of 15 years cemented its claim as one of the greatest live bands in all of creation. Live Revelator was released in 2012 on limited-edition CD to promote TTB’s first studio album, Revelator, and to preview its upcoming double live album, Everybody’s Talkin’; featuring the exclusive track, “Don’t Let Me Slide,” it’s a single-LP sampling of the improvisational magic this band brings every night. And especially this band: because this is the early line-up boasting Dead & Co. bassist Oteil Burbridge and the late, great Kofi Burbridge on keyboards.
